Genoa (Genova), Italy

I'm back in Italy after a 13 hiatus! The last time I was in Italy was when I was bringing out the Disney Wonder. I lived on the ship in the ship yard in Maghera – which is right next to Venice. I LOVED Italy! I'm happy to be back :) Today, our Cruise Director, Jimmy, took our cast out for lunch at a pizza place. Originally, we were supposed to go to this restaurant that was recommended by our Italian Hotel Director, but the place was closed. So we asked a local cop where he recommended and we went there. It was fun walking the narrow cobblestone and brick streets. The food was ok. I had a cucumber and arugula pizza with no cheese. The best part came after – when we all split up. Kris & I found this little Gelato place that had non-dairy sorbet.....and it was SOOO GOOD!! I had a mix of berry (made with fresh berries) and chocolate. Made my day!!
