Lisbon! - Pics coming soon

We arrived around 8am in Lisbon. We deplaned, went through customs, and then collected our bags – all of them. Pretty much everyone brought 2 bags and 2 carry ons. The producers had 10 bags full of costumes, wigs and shoes. Shuttle vans picked us up at the airport, and one was devoted solely to our luggage. The luggage that didn't fit in that van was dispersed between the 2 vans carrying us passengers. We drove from the airport to the sea dock, and there was not anything intriguing about the country to me. We saw old buildings with graffiti, some cobble stone-y sidewalks, lots of white buildings. I don't think there were many people who lived near the docks. What I saw reminded me of Romania a bit. We arrived at the cruise ship terminal, collected our bags, went through another bag scan, and then rolled our bags up to the ship. We met several of the cast that was signing off. They were all very nice – British – and young. We had to wait about half an hour before we could get on . Once on, we went to HR to process our paperwork and GET PICTURES taken for our ID cards. Really???!!! I've been traveling for almost a day with no brush and no shower....oh well. We got our Ids, keycards, and then off to see our rooms! On our ship, the cast is housed in passenger cabins – the other ships' casts have to live in crew quarters, which are much smaller. I think our room is 250-300 sq feet. We have a really large closet, a marble bathroom (with a bathtub!), a bedroom and a living room. And we also have a nice big window that has what I call a huge window seat. It will be a nice reading nook ;) Time to unpack and start rehearsal!
