Flying to Lisbon

My niece drove me to the airport this Sunday morn – thank goodness for no traffic! I arrived in plenty of time. I was a little worried about my baggage weight. I had weighed my bags at home and they were both at about 50lbs – but that was with me standing on my scale holding my bag to figure out the weight. Good news – one bag was 2lbs under and the other 3lbs under! I pulled approximately 5lbs of music from my carry on and used up my full 50 each – ha! It's $200 if you go over the weight limit, so you understand why this was such a big deal ;) Now, I just had to find one of the guys (Paul, Jovani, Kris, and I were the only cast members flying form LA), to see if they would carry my laptop with them as their carry on (we are only allowed 2 carry on and I had 3). Jovanni was my hero! I slept a little and watched Captain America on my little airline tv on the first leg of my flight – better movie than I thought. Our full cast and production met up in Newark, and we all flew to Lisbon together on a red eye. The flight was fine – I slept some more, got my special vegan meal for dinner, watched 'My Sister's Keeper' (which I knew was going to be a tear jerker), and then slept again. Paul and I sat in the same row and had an empty seat between us – stretch room! All in all, a typical cross country flight.
