Day off/Travel day
Shinkansen (bullet train) logo
Sooooooooooooooo, I am lazy today, and finally getting around to updating +)
We traveled from Osaka back up to Tokyo (Shinjuku) yesterday. I love taking the bullet trains - they cut the travel time in half. I saw Kyoto pass by my window, and I'm sure many other wonderful cities, but I missed them all, as I was snoozzzzzzzzzzzin'.
There goes Kyoto.....
So! We arrived in Tokyo and the weather and the humidity were MUCH more bearable here (thank goodness). Our taxi driver took us on the scenic route around the Imperial Castle back to our hotel. That was nice and all, but we just wanted to get to the hotel and start our day off!
What did I do on my day off? Laundry, eat, and see my Japanese friends.
LAUNDRY
The washers here are big tubs - you just throw everything in (a bachelor's fantasy!)
The washer
The dryers, should be renamed moisters as they don't quite dry everything - even after an hour!
The "moister"
If you don't know how to do laundry, follow the mermaid
EAT
Oh my favorite thing to do - actually all I want to do! You know, every time I come to Japan, I eat my yearly ration of rice.
My favorite drink here: A big ole box of green tea! oishii!
My favorite thing to eat here: onigiri! Especially if it is stuffed with pickled plum. It was so good, I ate it
Just to show you how small my small drink was, I had to put my hand by it
VISIT FRIENDS
It's always a pleasure to hook up with my former Tokyo Disney performers. Here are two of my favorite and closest friends (one of which just got engaged!!):
Friends!!! Marikochan, me, & Ayumichan!
Word of the day: KONBANWA (good evening)
Daily Dina Dt. Coke pic: (that bottle looks suspiciously bigger....)
