Sea Days 1 & 2 (of 6)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
The ship was rockin' & really rolling at 7am our first sea day. Of course I popped my 2 seasickness pills ;) It did calm down later. We have been rehearsing hard for our Opera show, and last night also did a run of Abba (oh yeah, THAT show – I completely pushed that one from my mind). In addition to rehearsal, we have also started doing some of our required activities: putt-putt golf & mileage pool (where guests guess how far we have traveled in a day). Fun and easy – when we aren't in the middle of putting up shows. It's also challenging eating on a schedule when I am used to eating every few hours. I will definitely be stocking up on snacks when we get to San Diego!
I haven't mentioned the passengers much, so here goes here: they are really nice and so supportive. It's great to see folks I've chatted with a day ago and they know my name and (surprisingly) I remember theirs. Most of the passengers are much older and have been on many many cruises. Some of them know more more about this company than some of the officers! The only ones I don't seem to agree with are my next door neighbors – they called and complained when I was singing in my room. I guess they were sleeping in (at 11am). Oh well, can't please everyone.
Our second sea day is absolutely GORGEOUS! The sun is out, the ship is not moving too much...and we ended rehearsal early =) Tonight we open our Opera show. I'll let you know how it goes!
