BALI, Indonesia

Welcome sign

Pretty Balinese women in full costume greeted us as we came off the ship

Take 2 for Bali for me. Today was a much better experience. And Happy Valentine's Day!!

Kash, Kyle (castmates) & I took a cab to a nearby city to go to the beach and have a nice lunch. We made our way out to the taxis after being bombarded by people trying to sell their wares and give you a necklace "for free" if you promise to come back and buy from them. That was the worst part of the day. We drove to Kuta, normally about 15ish minutes away, but with traffic, it took a good half hour. But once we got there, I thought the town was great! Touristy, a bit more "modern" than other areas, but lots of shops, a mall, and many restaurants. We first walked around and shopped, then had a FANTASTIC greek lunch at El Greco, and then a fresh coconut juice after. It was awesome! We pretty much shopped the whole time and didn't make it back to the beach. That's okay, because we are here for 2 more days!!

Yummy food!

I got hummus, pitas, kalamata olives (in an awful vinegar) and tabouli - it was really good for being in Indonesia!

Octpopus....hmmmmm

Indonesian bills. This is $10 US, but it looks like I am RICH!

Fresh coconut - my favorite!!!
