Fun night in Vegas

We started to learn our opera show today. Lots of great music, but all in Italian and French, so I've got some work to do. At lunch today, we walked outside to a pleasant surprise....rain! It was brief and cooling, and check out the awesome sunset it created:

So - tonight the cast of the Wind, and Paul and I, all went to see Vegas the Show. Before showtime, we stopped at the Venetian to see the water shows on the patio near Parasol Down. They have this amazing tall and wide wall with water pouring over it, making an incredible waterfall. There are several shows and we saw 2 of them (they each last about 5 minutes). We saw one with a giant tree frog sitting on top of the wall singing "What A Wonderful World" and the water changed all sorts of colors; and another with 2 balls that moved all around the pool and changed colors and finally created a little ball...lol
This pic is shot through the glass, so there is a reflection of the inside...but kinda cool.

After, we went to Planet Hollywood to see Vegas the Show, and I highly recommend it to all! The show was really fun. The dancers were amazing and the singers great as well. It was kind of a trip through time with several acts that performed in Vegas through the years (Rat pack, Gladys Knight, Sonny & Cher.....etc). Great! We hung out after the show and met a few folks from the cast. One of our guys has worked with one of the castmembers, and he is the one who arranged the comp tickets for us. It was a fun evening - and really - if you come to Vegas, check out the show!
