Sailing.....again
Well, well, well....look who's going on a ship again....me!
Today I drove to Vegas with my friend, Paul (who is also doing the ship), for rehearsals. I was up all night into the wee hours packing and getting my place ready for my niece (this is a usual thing for me the night before I leave for a job). I did accomplish getting everything together, made it to church, and then met at Paul's to load his car with ALL my stuff. Since we were driving, I knew I could bring more stuff =) The car was PACKED since Paul had the same thought as me!
We didn't hit any traffic and made it to Vegas in good time - we even stopped for a leisure lunch!

Our hotel is an Extended Stay place, so we have a full kitchen (minus the stove). The only downside is that the property is older and so are the rooms. Clean, but old. I really really wish I had brought my own pillow and blanket.....daijobu (it's okay).

I made friends with the front desk guy (Roger), and he has really hooked me up. My first room smelled like smoke, so when I asked to change rooms, he gave me 3 choices - 2 of which were next to each other (and smoke free). So, Paul switched his room so we could be neighbors. We found out the other two guys on our ship live right around the corner.
After unpacking, we drove to Trader Joe's to get food for the week. It is now 11pm and my roommate just arrived. Yea! I didn't want to fall asleep before she got here. Now I can hit the hay!
