Shizuoka
Well, after a nice short 2 hour train ride, we all got off the train and headed through the station to catch taxis - as always. Three to a taxi. Little did we know, but Rick, Billy and I were in for a little adventure off the beaten path! We got in our taxi, and the taxi caller gave the guy a prepaid voucher and told him where to take us (we ASSUMED). We drive about 10 minutes away and pull up to this building. I didn't see any others of our group and I just ASSUMED they got there real fast. Rick got his stuff and went inside, while Billy and I were pulling our stuff from the trunk. I walked into the building and Rick was standing by the security guards desk and said that he didn't think this was the right place. Billy joined us inside, and when we relayed our thoughts, Billy ran back out to catch the cab, but the cab driver didn't hear him. Apparently he thought we were celebrities because he took us to a TV station! The people there were very nice and helpful, and called our hotel and a taxi and got us on our way. The hotel was only about 5 minutes from the station! When we arrived, only our promoter seemed to have noticed that we were missing!! How about that?! +I What is the lesson learned kiddies? Never ASSUME - you know what happens - you'll get dumped off at a TV station and no one will even notice!
So - Shizuoka, when I googled it, is supposed to be close to Mt Fuji. The sky is so overcast (it has rained twice since we arrived - but that didn't help the humidity) that you can't see any mountains. We are here only for tonight and I am sad to not be able to explore this town (they added another show this evening, so no time off - but they did feed us =)
Our hotel is very cute and quaint - a little bit of old set in the new. My room is GREAT! I have a huge desk and my window overlooks the koi pond and gardens - it's beautiful!

I did walk around the block to Lawson's (like an AM/PM) to get some water and I came across this sign:
You can get a head spa or your eyeRASHES done
