I'm back baby!!
Hello Hello Hello!!
Welcome to my new format! I thought since I have my computer again, I would celebrate with a complete update to my Blog +)
I received my laptop on the 4th of July, and how great and wonderful that was! I have been spending WAY too much time on it though (I guess making up for the last 4 months). I now have all my old programs loaded on and am ready to fill you in on the latest.I am going to start with today and catch up in future entries.
Today I met my friend, Naoko, for lunch at this organic cafe next to an organic market. The food was AWESOME and I had a completely vegan dish!!! This is really exciting for me, living here in the land of fish....lol. After lunch we decided to go to the top of Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower resmbles the Eiffel Tower, but is taller and lighter. You can read about it here: http://www.tokyotower.co.jp/2005/web/eng/index.html
Tokyo Tower
Ascending was a bit scary, descending was easier. Inside the elevator, you have a view of the outside, which gave me those "height tingles". The view was amazing! If it had been a clear day, we could have seen Mt. Fuji. It was exciting and new all the same.
After the tower, we went to Roppongi Hills mall (that is at the tall building in the background of Tokyo Tower) because I had never been. Roppongi is near Ginza, a very ritzy "town" where there are many upscale shops and many gaijin (Japanese for foreigners, or "westerners"). Anyway, we did the movie thing and saw War of the Worlds. I liked it! Scary at times, I believe I even screamed once or twice..lol!
That was my newest adventure. Stay tuned for more!
