San Blas Islands, Panama
What a great day today! I was woken up around 3 or 4am from the loudest thunder cracking outside our window. Then again at 7:30am from the anchor being lowered (my cabin is all the way forward, so I hear all that). I looked out my window a bit later (once I was awake & up) and saw a couple canoes of people paddling around our ship. Looking out, I see we are anchored in the middle of a bunch of islands. The weather is overcast, but nice.
12 of us got together and hired a canoe to take us to a private island to hang out and swim for the day (because the island we tendered to just had people selling their wares). What fun! The island was nice, they had food and cold drinks there. The water was nice. I climbed a palm tree (it was laying over the water) and drank/ate 2 coconuts! It was very relaxing and felt tropical – finally!
