Rehearsal! Finally....
Yea! We finally get to rehearse and see the venue we're performing at. I'm was really looking forward to hearing the band, and have them hear us! We've sung with a number of the guys in other incarnations, but the band leader and promoter have never heard us live.
We were all picked up at the hotel in a huge luxury double decker bus. I forgot to take a picture before we got on, but here is our reflection (I know, it doesn't look so big, but it was!)
Inside the bus
On the highway driving by downtown
Coming onto the casino property - it's like entering a Disney resort. See the sky cars in the background? You don't see those much in the states anymore.
Sentosa Resort (click on this post's headline for the link)
This place has everything - even a castle!
We parked underground, and I don't know how far underground we were, but we drove for a long long time
Unloading the bus
Looking at our venue room from stage. If I had a stitcher, I would have put the next 3 pics together so you could see the room in one fell swoop.....but I don't. We are performing in this 4000 seat room - with 2 jumbo-trons. Please excuse the yellow cast, I didn't have my flash on.

Stage
The guys and gals of the Glenn miller Orchestra
Trumpeter Deb and her daughter, Ella. She sat so well on the bandstand! She colored pictures while her mom played.
Rehearsal went very well, and they loved us (which I knew they would). I'm very excited for tomorrow. This will be the 40's Flygirls first full length show (we've always done short sets).Yea!
We loaded up the bus and headed home....in the rain. It rains here about once a day, but the nice thing is that it is still warm and it lasts about 45 minutes.
Leaving Sentosa. FYI - this place is near the shipyards. See all the giant cranes in the background?
Passing by the Wealth Fountain on the way home. It's the first time I have seen water coming from the top during the day. The fountain has a nightly show (which I just found out) with lots of water and colors. I watched it from my hotel window last night. One more thing, it is also the largest fountain IN THE WORLD (I said 'in the country' on one of my first posts).
After getting back, I went to the mall we visited on our first day and had my Indian lunch again - yum! I also had some visitors:
Lunch birds
Lunch crow
