End of my 1st cruise visit and the beginning of 2 more! Today we are back in Cape Town, the 2nd most populous city in South Africa, and the capitol. I am very excited to be able to go exploring (at least around the port since I don't have a car). There are a lot of shops around the seaport and - you guessed it - a mall (a HUGE one). Since I am staying on board, I need to pick up some more toiletries and a few other items (like malaria pills and white tennis shoes so that I can escort tours). The day was beautifully sunny and hot - just how I like my weather :) I walked out of the port with my friend, Laura (shore excursion), and she directed me to the portside shops and mall After a 5 minute walk I came upon outdoor shops and restaurants on one side of the water, and a swing bridge that connects you to the other side.
