I just flew in from Vegas, and boy, are my arms tired!
I received a call Wednesday informing me that the gig I was contracted to do on the 19th, was actually supposed to be the 6th (Thursday!). The fault lay with the company that hired the industrial company I work with. Anyway, to make a long story short, I was flown out to Vegas approximately 6 hours after the initial call (on a redeye), and woke up the next morning to an all day rehearsal/blocking of a show thrown together at the last minute. Thank goodness most everyone had done the show before (or at least most of the numbers)!
I am happy to say the show went well and the audience loved it =) Immediately after the show I hopped on a shuttle to the airport to fly a redeye back to NYC (I had to be back in time to fulfill committments I had made before this all happened). Needless to say (but I will), I am exhausted!!! I had to work all day and now I am looking forward to just crawling in my bed and going to sleep =) I tell you, this whole rush rush flyhere flythere was invigorating and a thrill, but it was definitely not something I would want to do on a regular basis!
