Typical Japanese-style Toilets

Here, at last, is a picture of the "squatter" toilets that are common here. They seem to think it is more sanitary than a "western" toilet.....I disagree. These are also my least favorite toilets because I have a difficult time sqatting due to short achilles. So I end up having to brace myself with one hand against the wall (for balance) and the other hand holding my pants clear (from poor aim). I know - a too graphic picture, but so sad and true. Give me a "western" toilet any day!
