Crazy 'Ol Japan

I experienced my 2nd earthquake here the other day - a 6.1 - but by the time it reached our part of the city, I believe it was a high 4. Our buildings are built on rollers, so I just rocked and rolled with the quake! Thank goodness I grew up in California, or I would probably be freaked out!

Last Saturday I experienced my first Hanami - this is where people get together and picnic under the cherry blossoms. Well, more like eat and get drunk under the cherry blossoms - lol! The trees were beautiful and the weather was warm and sunny. After it got dark, several of us went to kareoke and sang the night away. Kareoke here is done differently than in the states. You have your own little room with 2 mics, and props (at this one): tambourines, maracas (sp), a drum machine, and a castanet. So fun!

Now the weather has regressed to winter and it is rainy and cold once again....yuck!
I really miss my computer on days like this. Btw, my computer is currently being repaired and I hope to have it back in a week and a half - HOORAY!
Until then, I will write when I can...
Ja ne!
